Extracurricular
Campus life and extracurricular activities are among the most rewarding aspects of attending TAIS in Nantou. Students enjoy fresh air, a beautiful campus, open spaces, expansive lawns, and a dormitory experience that fosters a family-like atmosphere. Extracurricular activities, ranging from club sessions, on-campus weekends, to festive celebrations and community service, offer excellent opportunities for students to showcase their talents and passions, explore future interests, and serve others outside of regular class hours.

Club Time
Regular classes across all categories conclude at 4:30 PM daily, after which students may participate in one or two club activities. At the start of each semester, students can apply to form a wide variety of clubs based on their interests. Clubs that have previously been established or remain popular include sports (such as basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, badminton, archery, boxing, swimming, yoga, and kendo). Music and the arts (such as art and painting, digital art, band, drama, and filmmaking), and other categories (such as board games, natural therapies, English debate, and "Chicken Soup for the Soul" style discussion groups).
Festivals and Events
Each semester, TAIS students enjoy a variety of special events. Following the start of the term, students prepare for the high-energy "Joy Cup" sports competition, an event filled with laughter and excitement, followed by the Christmas celebration, which involves weeks of preparation and rehearsal. Both events are open to parents and the general public. Other activities designed to unlock students' potential include Spirit Week, friendly matches in basketball, badminton, soccer, and ultimate frisbee, the Talent Show, the annual banquet, and various festive luncheons. Parent-Teacher Conferences are held each semester to keep parents informed about their child's academic progress and overall performance. During the Open House, students showcase their academic achievements such as science experiments, artworks, and handicrafts, and share experiences from their domestic and international service trips. These service trips offer students the opportunity to serve others while gaining new perspectives on life and the world. With such a diverse and enriching array of extracurricular activities, joining the TAIS community promises a journey filled with fun and joy!
