Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
Students must successfully complete the corresponding foundational high school course before enrolling in an AP course. For example, students must complete Biology and earn the required credit before they may apply to take AP Biology.AP courses are not required for every student. Course selection is based on each student’s academic readiness, interests, and plans for further education. TAIS works with students to determine whether AP coursework is appropriate for their individual academic goals and future college plans. The AP courses offered at TAIS may vary from semester to semester based on faculty availability, student interest, and academic needs. The final course offerings are determined at the beginning of each semester.
